Hi guys, I have some thoughts to share with all of you, some of which are taken from the Song Of Solomon bible study. May you be blessed by this word!
God is raising up a new generation of youths who are genuine in heart, who will do greater works than the previous generation, who live for the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord. We are that generation! Many of us have said that prayer: "God, take all of me in exchange for all of you. Use me as a vessel for your glory."
God has heard that prayer, and He will bring it to pass. But first, we need the capacity to contain the position of influence that God will give us. Some of us have dreams of stardom, and you can be a star! But God is not going to let you become a celebrity without first creating in you the strength and the ability to overcome pressures that you will face as a star. Otherwise, you will be like a jet of fireworks; shining brightly only for a moment before disappearing forever.
What's the point if God gives you a position of influence and great wealth but you do not have the ability the handle it? Like the saying goes: the higher you climb, the harder the fall. So the Holy Spirit will bring you through the wilderness, where you will be tested and strengthened.
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. (1 Pet 1:7, NLT)
God will bring you through the fire, so that you will come out shining like gold. Why? Because God is more interested in your character than in your comfort. It is also during darkest valleys of your life that you draw closer to God like never before. When there is no other way out, the only thing left to do is to humble yourself before God and seek Him. You go into a deeper union with the Lord. And the Holy Spirit, our comforter, will always be with us.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you. (Isa 43:2)
So what do you do when you are in the valley of the shadow of death? Like what pastor always tell us, just KEEP WALKING. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. We will go through what Jesus went through: death, burial and resurrection. When it is darkest in your life, be comforted that dawn is about to break. Our resurrection experience will come, and our glory will be greater!
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
(Rom 6:4-5)
