Travail Of The Soul
And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. 1 Samuel 1:10
Hannah was despised because she had no children. In her barrenness, she cried out to the Lord. The name “Samuel” means “asked of God.” That was exactly what Hannah did when she was childless-she asked God for a son. The key to fruitfulness is the travail of the soul. Hannah didn’t come to God with a lackadaisical("bo chap") attitude. She came before the Lord with a heavy burden and a holy dissatisfaction, crying desperately and wailing with anguish. Her soul was going through pain and agony. Just like a mother travails as she goes through childbirth, Hannah went through a “birthing” in her spirit.
Every revival is born out of very intense prayer. Today, six of the 10 largest churches in the world are found in one country-South Korea. Yet, South Korea went through much devastation during the Japanese occupation and the Korean War. At the turn of the 20th century, Korean Christians were greatly persecuted. Many were incarcerated and martyred. In the midst of their tribulation, the Korean believers cried out to the Lord for revival. There was travailing prayer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The result of that was a mighty revival that swept through the land after the Korean War. Christians pooled whatever little resources they had to build schools, hospitals and churches. Correspondingly, God blessed the country. Today, South Korea is one of the most advanced nations and powerful economies in the world. It has become a fruitful nation.
Referring to Jesus, Isaiah says that “He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul, and be satisfi ed” (Is. 53:11, Amp). In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was in such agony as He prayed that His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground (Luke 22:44). Out of Christ’s travail came forth a glorious Church! May we grieve over the unfruitfulness in our lives and churches. May we come before the Lord in pain and brokenness, crying: “Lord, please remove the reproach of barrenness from my life. Make me a productive person for the kingdom.” Let’s become “Hannahs” before the Lord, desperate to see fruitfulness in our lives.

The Broken Pot
Anyway, im sure all of u enjoyed service on sat yea? Truly, i believe each one of you received a word or better still, an impartation frm the Holy Spirit regarding the area of fruitfulness in your life!! Winks*
Well, i happen 2 find this really cool story online today and i thought i'll share it with everyone here. So once again, sit tight and brace yourselves for another round of Qm's short stories!!!!!!
presents
Once upon a time, a water bearer in India had two large pots. Daily as part of his task for his master, he would set upon a long journey to the waterfalls to collect water. He would always hang a pot at each end of a pole which he carried on his neck. One of the pots was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the journey whereas, the other pot always arrived half full due to a crack at one of its side.
For a full two years this went on, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his masters house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and it felt miserable that it was only able to accomplish half of what it had been made to do. One day after what the cracked pot perceived to be a bitter failure, it decided to speak to the water bearer by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you."
"Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?"
"I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your masters house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts." the pot said.
The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the masters house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path.
Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it up quite a bit. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again the Pot apologized to the bearer for its failure.
The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."
Immediately, the cracked pot brightened up and it no longer resented it's flaws from that day and continued serving the water bearer for the rest of its days.
WOW, what a beautiful end to this tale. Truly, we are all in way like the cracked pot in the story. Full of cracks and failures in our lives and in our characters but friends, i would like to encourage each and every single one of you who is reading this story today, that failures don't make up your life. But if we will allow it, the Lord will use our flaws to grace His Father's table. In God's great economy, nothing goes to waste. Don't be afraid of your flaws.
Acknowledge them, and you too can be the cause of beauty. Know that in the area of weakness in our lives, your strength in God is made perfect!!! (2nd Cor 12:9)
We can be fruitful in our lives because God's grace is more than sufficient for us. He will show us, He will lead us, He will guide us.
The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
