Music artiste feature: Jay Sean + Cg Outing details

Hi all. Firstly, i want 2 thank every1 for being so caring towards me when i was sick. I'm deeply touched by all of your encouraging messages :) To be honest, i didnt really expect that level of concern. Maybe its becos i only told a few ppl that i was sick ba. This certainly shows that news spreads fast in W406.. Wow!!! XD

Anyway for this blog post, I shall be doing a feature on a music artiste called Jay Sean. (Just for the record, its not a misspelling for Jay chou k?!) Haha, I take it that most of u have nv heard of him rite? So without ado, here's a short biography of him

Born on 26 march 1981,Kamaljit Singh Jhooti (better known as Jay Sean) was raised up in the Southall neighbourhood of London into an Asian family. As such, he is of Sikh Punjabi descent. It was at the tender age of 11 that Jay Sean began to display his talent in music, forming a hip hop duo group with his cousin called "Compulsive Disorder".

He later enrolled at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry to study medicine but he dropped out to pursue his artistic career. Later, he signed with Virgin Records after his track "One Minute"fell into the hands of producer Rishi Rich.

Career highlights

• 1 million pound record deal with vrigin records
• 1st single tittled "Dance with you" became a top twenty hit in the UK
• 2nd single tittled "Eyes on you"became a top 10 hit, peaking at number 6
• 3rd single tittled "Stolen" which was his biggest hit 2 date peaked at number 4
• Album sold more than 2 million copies in India, becoming a commercial success not only in the UK but abroad as well
• Best Male Act in the 2009 UK Asian Music Awards
  

Well, there's more 2 the artiste but i think i'll spare all of u the details. Lest i bore all of u 2 tears, haha. So to keep things short, here is his latest American debut single tittled "Down" Don't be misled by the tittle of the song k? Its pretty much a fast and catchy song with a nice rhythm to it. In fact, it has become the number 1 most added track on US radio.

So i hope that all of u will enjoy the song yea? And may the song also come forth and cast away the spirit of deadness in this blog as well. LOL

Editor's recommendation: Yet another great song by David Archuleta. Man, i think he has a knack of bringing out the best in songs. Who says u have 2 win American Idol in order to excel in the music industry?

Its not like any other heartwarming songs i've heard b4. His style is completely fresh and though it might not be as good as "Crush", i believe this song has what it takes to be another smash hit. For that, i give this song 3 stars out of 5 =D

Let's start from, NUMBER 10!

Number 10: Fall for you - Secondhand Serenade
I find this song not bad and this song was the song that i won for my NPCC talentime. But for my personal opinion, i don't really like this song. But oh well, dpdp. different people, different perspectives. so yah. I would rate it 3/5. :D

Number 9: Crush - David Archuleta
This song is nice ! I like this song. I would rate it 4/5. This song is recommended. :D

Number 8: Check Yes Juliet ( Run baby Run ) - We The Kings
Hmmm, i also like this song . This is my all-time favourite song too. So I would rate it 4/5 too. It's recommended :D

Number 7: Always Be My Baby - David Cook
Personal opinion is , I find the lyrics nice, but i don't really like the song. But, there's a lot of people who give praise to this song! You might be one of them too :D I would rate it 3/5. Maybe you wanna give a try to this song? =)

Number 6: 4 minutes - Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake
This is the song famous for the : TICK TOCK TICK TOCK part ! hahah. I personally find this song nice, and would rate it 4/5. I would recommend this :D

Number 5: With You - Chris Brown
I would rate this 3/5. But i like the lyrics. hahah. Although it's 3/5, but I find this recommendable. This song is recommended! :D

Number 4: Stronger - Kanye West
This song is nice nice nice! It's quite old already, but I still like this song a lot. I don't know why. I would rate this 4/5. Try this song! Highly recommended! :D

Number 3: Take A Bow - Rihanna
This song is not bad, I would say. This song is highly popular that time also, when I was at my singing competition. I think 1/3 or 1/4 of the contestants sang this song. It's really very popular at that time. I find Rihanna's voice very special, and she's not bad, really. I would rate this 3/5, but recommended :D

Number 2: Low - Flo Rida feat. T-Pain
This song is my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE! I super like this song, low low low low low low low low. hahah. I like this song. Rated 4/5 and highly highly recommended :D

NOW IS THE TOP SONG OF THE YEAR 2008! *DRUMROLLLLLLLLLL*

NUMBER 1 : APOLOGIZE - TIMBALAND feat. ONEREPUBLIC!
This song is not bad too, but i didn't expected this song to be top song of the year. hahah. But this song .. hmmm , is very popular, i dont deny. It's too late to apologize .. hahah. Since this is the top song, i would let you to go rate this song. hahahhhhhh ! :D
