Cg meeting + Fellowship at Chomp Chomp
Today, We had cg meeting at Ernest's house at around 3pm. I led games as usual. Actually i was comtemplating whether to play my game cos the sisters were already playing a game of their own before cg started. In fact, i taught them a game called smile toss and they seem to really enjoy it a lot. So lets just say, everyone was already joyful even before the cg meeting actualy begun.
I led the game "wacko" today. Everything was fine except that i forgot to introduce how the game was played, lol. So apparently Felicia was shocked when her name was called at the begining round. She didnt quite know how to react, and i was like OOPS! haha. As usual Jing Yuan mostly ended up being "it" for the game. What was surprising though was the inclusion of Yao Zhong. He ended up being "It" many times as well for the duration of the game. He gaved the excuse to us that his brain was under maintainence. My reaction to that was "Oh dear, you mean its spoilt now? how "terrible" that must be for you" Haha.
Anyway, the trick to the game was to shortlist 1 or 2 names in your head. That way, you would not be caught off-guard. I shortlisted the names "cherry" and "strawberry" (no particular reason for that. So dont be offended k? Lol) The game was quite short and i can rem Weiren persistantly telling us before and after the game, to tell our neighbours that we still loved them. Haha, he prob didnt want any bitterness to exist between us due to playing the game.
We then had our Praise and Worship sessions. We sang the songs "1 God" and "Elevate your name" I think Isaiah really picked the right praise songs for the cg. Cos everyone really likes those songs. Thank God that His Presence began to take flight as we began to praise Him. The worship session was awesome as well. We sang the songs " Above all else" and a song by Don Moen called "I offer my life" the Don Moen song was particularly touching as it expresse our heart's desire to lay down our lives for God. Although most songs also expressed that, i felt that this song stood out because its very soothing to sing throughout. Thats what makes Don Moen's songs so special eh? haha. So it was indeed a great time of PnW and i could sense that the presence of God was very strong.
Next, we had a round of testimony sharing before the sharing of the word. I shared a testimony on my attachment, pay and healing. Everyone shared diff experiences so i could sense that the body of Christ was indeed edified in a variety fof ways through us. Throughly God moves in our lives greatly and Im so thankful that He blessed not just me but my dear brothers and sisters as well.
Next Weiren shared a message on how we can be an effective witness like Matthew. The message was closely tied in with our Church's particpation in the My Hope Singapore Programme as well with Our X'mas services. Truly i was thankful for the word as it has prepared me on how i can better reach out to my friends during this exciting time of yr end harvesting. The Word in John 4:35 is just so true la. I think i have learnt not to be ignorant through that word and i pray that as im writing this down, that this word would dwell upon my life as flesh. Truly, i want to see my year ending on a high, full of breakthroughs.
How would you want your life to end for 2008? Truly I hope that your dreams would be closely associated with mine....
Anyway, Cg meeting ended about 530. Weiren gave us 10 mins to pack before we were due to set off for our cg fellowship dinner at Chomp Chomp. However, i had a dutyto perform first, which was to collect the cg fund for the month of dec. Surprisingly, the collection of money process went quite smoothly. In fact, I even thought i'll find it hard to get the cg memebers to give for the fund as their finances was quite tight now. However, i have the faith to believe in my personal goal as a temp cg treasuer, which is to cause every single memeber to erase their bad debts. So i'll keep praying for every member to receive forth financial blessings in their lives. Tryly God will cause you to prosper, just never stop believing in Him!
So we soon set off to Chomp Chomp. The Journey there was great. Everyone was in high spirits as we had a great time joking and talking to each other. In fact, it was through chatting with Weiren that i realised that his ideal version of Chomp Chomp was different from what it actually was. Enyun was on my side for this one and Weiren soon realised that he made a mistake. haha, but theres no condemnation in Christ la.... so no worries =D
We soon reached Chomp Chomp and as expected there was a lot ot people there. So, we had to wait for quite a while before being able to get seats. Weiren then told us to pool in our money to buy food. The instruction from him was also to buy two of each dish. So it was through this, that we somehow ended up with mountains of food on our table. As usual, Me and Isaiah ended up clearing the food off the tables due to our biiiiiiiiig appetites. You know, i used to have a craving for fried food like fried kway teow, carrot cake and hokkien mee. I think after today, i might just be able to starve off these cravings for a while. Haha
Lastly, we ended off the day by going to the playground near my house. The breeze was great and i felt that it was really an ideal setting for us to end our day. I truly felt very blessed being in the presence of my dear brothers and sisters of Christ. So i duefully look forward towards such outings like that in future.
